Activities ideas for older children for an evening sunset family photography session in the daisies, near Sevenoaks Kent

Daisy season is one of my favourite times of year and it always takes my breath away when I see the meadow in bloom for the first time - as it’s like stepping into another world.

This family got in touch with me after finding me on Instagram and we had a little call before booking and I knew this would be the perfect spot for them to play and explore as a family.

We met at 6.45pm a couple of hours before sunset and walked the few minutes to the daisy meadow.

The thing I love about this location is observing and documenting families reactions to the meadow when we arrive. as children will naturally run over and start picking the daisies, making daisy crowns and just having fun twirling around!

It is always worth skipping bedtime just this once to capture you in the beautiful light at golden hour

Mum and dad then got involved with some daisy picking and snuggles in the daises with each of thier children, to capture some special pictures to look back on.

Then we were on the move to play some games and explore the meadow. As this was a session with older children, I love nothing more than lots of running games, blanket swings and bought some paper with me for making paper planes

When we are capturing you in a final family session we’ll often spend an hour and a half together. I always encourage you to have a little break and bring snacks, I always bring some too.

we often incorporate you having little picnic and this session was no exception - they bought the most delicious homemade cupcakes - I can vouch that they were as I kindly had one too!

This family loved to play cards, so we got some pictures of this too.

These sisters share such a special bond, so we captured some pictures of just the two of them together with thier matching necklaces.

At this location, I always love to finish a family session at the top of the hill for families to take in the breathtaking views which go on for miles and miles.
